World Cup La Bresse et Val di Sole

Two years after the first edition, The World Cup circus was back in la Bresse, France for the 6th event of the year. Short, fast and spectacular track... Saturday’s qualifier: Sam makes it to the final despite a big mistake, Julien has a smooth run and ends up 16th however things got harder for Joe whom stays 0,3 sec from qualifying. On Sunday, Sam and Julien are ready to race. Sam get’s a nice run, that allows him to stay more than half an hour in the hot seat, he eventually end up 20th less than one second from 10th spot! Julien starts on a high rhythm and get the best top split, but then he crashed and lose all chance for a good result.

After a few days training and resting in Montgenevre, Team is in Val Di Sole for the World Cup final. The track is still very steep and rough, and even faster than in the past. Bike adjustment is giving headache to the riders… From the first training sessions Sam and Joe feel pretty good on a type of track that they like. Julien on his side is having a hard time to find the right settings. Friday is qualifier’s day and everybody is ready, but the race doesn’t happens has planed : Julien loses control of his bike a few time and ends up outside the qualifying time and Sam loses all chances with a crash. Fortunately the good news comes from Joe whom gets a good run and gets his ticket for the final. « I am very happy to qualify for finals, in la Bresse and Fort William I was so frustrating to fail so close to making it when I knew I had the speed to be in the top 80. But this time it’’ good I’m in ! » explains Joe after his run. On Sunday Joe is ready, his start is very godd, but unfortunately he hits a rock in the first part, crashes and lose all chances for a good result.
