The season hadn’t started has he had hopped, Robin expected indeed to be a regular top 20 contender in the World Cup circuit and to offer a few visits in the top 10, but in the sports things doesn’t always happen per your wishes… In Val di Sole with a 18th place at the first round, Robin knew that things were going back in the right direction… He left then Italy with a strong motivation, for this event that he had set as one of his season’s goal : The European Championship, held in a country clothe to home : Norway. Things weren’t supposed to be easy, with the 2009 Champion Nick Beer, and the on form French riders Damien Spagnolo and Romain Paulhan, Robin knew he would have to pull a big run. The Swedish from Team SUNN MONTGENEVRE made indeed a perfect race and ends up winning, leaving second place to Nick Beer, previous year winner.
During this time the resort of Montgenèvre was running a double 4X French Cup event. With Romain Saladini being home due to injury, Mickael Deldycke wins Saturday’s race while Benoit Quaegebeur wins on Sunday.
