Enduro series Final and Val di Sole World Cup

Valloire Enduro: What you need to know about this event is the tracks and the scenery : Awesome tracks and courses including 30 min long runs, amazing Alps landscapes, but also a very demanding race (amtitude + pedaling). Tough for us after the Vars event the WE prior and the Catalog shooting in Montgenèvre in the middle. I believe Caro dis the right thing skipping this race as she had already xon the overall! On our side (Simon and Yannick), weekend hasn’t be very easy: Yannick got a flat at the first run and had to give up for the day, fortunately on Sunday things got much better and he could score a few top 10. Playing safe and racing smooth, and despite a few race issue I end up 7th of this great event, even if I would rather have liked finishing on the podium of this last event of the series. But anyway, for this first season, we are quite happy of our team result: 1st for the women, 3rd and 10th for the men’s ranking.

On the DH side, Team Sunn Montgenèvre was in Val di Sole : Weekend starts pretty well on Friday with qualification : great 18th place for Robin, 42nd for Mitch and 6th in 4X for Romain.. However bad luck comes back Saturday nigh: Romain crashes during the training, he injures in hand and cannot grip the bar, completly frustrated he has to withdraw before the race start. Sunday downhillers are ready to go, Mitch is first to go, but the track has changed a lot and he has a hard time finding the right rhythm, he needs up 45th. Robin has very strong hope on this track he especially likes, but a sharp rock hidden under the dust ruins all his hopes with a front puncture. Season is not over, next week-end Robin will be at the European Championship while Mitch will be in Chamonix for a race with our sponsor POC. Regarding Romain, we are still waiting for medical advice to confirm or not his attendance to the 4X French Cup in Montgenèvre.
