In 2008, the Kern Exo has been voted “Mountain bike of the year“ by french magazine Vélo Vert. This is the ultimate reward for a bicycle brand and further proof of SUNN being counted among major mountain bike brands in the world.

Offering 140 mm of travel and from now on available in five sizes, the Kern’s geometry was conceived with only one aim: To ensure an exceptional versatility whatever field you are playing on.

Like his big brother the Kern LT, proven kinematics using the principle connecting rod/rocker link remains unchanged. It brings unusual progressiveness, motricity and precision. In order to obtain more stability, the centre of gravity is lowered at the most and to guarantee briskness, all masses are brought back around this one. All shock absorbers damping and shim stack signed by Rock Shox are specifically prepared to adapt to our kinematics.

This is a global frame + shock design which has allowed us to achieve these goals.

In addition, the kern is equipped with a new reinforced rear triangle and a new curved diagonal down tube increasing reliability while preserving its incredible weight for the category. To make it even better, all articulations are assembled on sealed annular bearings with Torx stainless screws on added inserts, avoiding any risk of damages.
